The Oxford Shirt –
So named because of the way the fabric is weaved as opposed to the shirt’s design or material. Oxford shirts straddle the line between smart and casual and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. The shirt was originally worn by Polo players during matches as the fabric is breathable and comfortable to wear.
This style of shirt can be worn all year around and for any occasion as the sleeves can be rolled up to be casual or with a suit and tie to make it more formal. It is a wardrobe essential as it is timeless and will never go out of fashion.

By wearing a print shirt it gives the wearer chance to show off their personality and individual style by picking a shirt with a particular pattern or print. The shirts can be colourful and loud or minimal depending on the preference of the wearer, alternatively a simple logo on the shirt can show support to a brand or celebrity.
Likewise a statement slogan can be eye-catching and attract attention, this is particularly popular with the younger generation. Depending on the season you could wear different patterns or colours, for example the class Hawaiian shirts are most popular in summer or on holiday.
The Grandad Shirt –
Named after its collar, this shirt is a throwback to past fashions. It is believed to originate from the 1920s/30s when factory workers cut off their collars as they had no use for ties, concerned they would get stuck in a machine. Many men also believe the shirt to be move comfortable without a collar, especially the stiff collars of formal shirts.
Grandad shirts are more versatile and easy to wear compared with smarter, formal shirts as these shirts can be worn with a wide range of outfits including jeans or shorts. Having said that, they can be dressed up or down by either buttoning up the top button for a smarter look or layering over a classic t-shirt to make it more casual.
The Floral shirt –
Considered by some to be a more ‘feminine’ look, but this is not always the case. Floral patterns can be made more masculine by using darker colours, or more fun and casual by using bright colours and big prints.
These shirts are particularly popular during summer months and are often worn for holidays or festivals as a bold statement. Also, they are easily used to change up and add interest to your style by adding a fun look to your outfit.
